The following checklist was developed as a guide to maintaining the
best appearance of individual properties and the Riverbend
Estates Community as a whole. Help keep our community a pleasant
and attractive place to live and enhance property values. Although this
list may not be all-inclusive, it is intended to be representative of
the common effort needed. Are you doing your part to keep our
community looking good?Walk out to the sidewalk
and objectively look at your home! Could you sell it for the maximum
price possible? Does the mailbox need repair? Are the gutters sagging?
Please make an effort to pick up trash and clean the curb area immediately
in front of your own property.
Display House address numbers (4” high) on house, mailbox,
curb, etc.
Grass cut (maintained at 5" or less even when absent)
Lawn edged
Grass & weeds removed from cracks in driveways, walkways
and curbs
Shrubs, hedges and trees trimmed (especially in sidewalk
right-of-ways.)
Dead trees, shrubs and limbs removed (Wednesday pickup during
spring/summer)
YOU are responsible for cleaning-up after your pet
Outside security lights aim low for safety of vehicles passing
house
Debris removed from premises (trash, leaves, limbs, construction
debris, etc.)
Trash receptacles covered and stored between
collections
Beautification of area (add landscaping, replace broken
newspaper boxes, post/mail boxes, etc.)
Repair/remove/replace broken or rotted wood on home
Refinish/replace surfaces with cracked or peeling paint/vinyl
Rust removed from exposed metal and repainted
Appliances, toys and tools stored indoors/out-of-sight
Firewood neatly stacked
Garden hoses rolled or stored indoors
Garage doors closed when not in use
Vehicles maintained in good state of repair (no flat tires,
broken windows, removed parts, etc.) or covered
Unregistered vehicles garaged or removed
No Auto repair or changing oil, or disposing of oil in the
Community (no flat tires, broken windows, removed parts,
etc.)
No cars parked on grass or on blocks
Snow must be shoveled from sidewalks
Recycling tubs stored out-of-sight between collection days
(Call 301-952-7630 to get a new recycle bin)
NO commercial trucks
Register tags with Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles
(www.MVA.com)
Unregistered vehicles garaged or removed
